Busy bee

The
buzz
buzz buzz
of your neurosis
is shaking my nerves
loosening the coils of cool
reserves that calm you
when you ask me
to be there for
you and just
smile

ISLAND

An island of calm
floats somewhere in my
overcrowded, overworked
cerebellum

I visit there once
in awhile, on days
when I remember to
breathe
