This week's prompt on Poetry Jam was "magic." And there's nothing I find more magic than the human capacity to love, forgive, hope, endure ...
MOVING ON
We fight
we yell
we cry
we cling
we despair
we beg
we regret
we ache
we wonder
we release
we remember
we love

A grand love
For Egypt, for my LGBTQ friends, for my child, and for everyone I've ever loved . . .
A thousand years from now
our children's children's children
A thousand years from now
our children's children's children
will see how we loved each other
A thousand years from now
they will see how we fought
for the right to love each other
A thousand years from now
they will remember how we
loved in the face of such fights
